To block the sun

A seed is placed upon the ground
The sun shines upon it warmingly
It starts to sprout reaching out
To the sky

A man comes to water it everyday
Saying everything will be ok
Your in my hands now dont be scared
I'll protect you so you can grow

Then as days pass the man never shows
And the tree begins to wilt away
Wondering what had it done
If only it could of been greener it thought
If only it could of been taller

The people didnt want it
They said it blocked the sun
They said it wasnt green enough
so they made him leave it there
He thought them to be right

Now it wilts away and decays
If only it had no imperfections
Then maybe it would be loved
Even if it blocked the sun
